Thin metallised glass covers making non-metallic structures antistatic - for treatment of e.g. aircraft radomes, satellite communication windows

Non-metallic surfaces are rendered antistatic by a thin cover of glass prefabricated with a coating of a conductive metallic salt. Esp. suitable for plastic domes or windows required to remain predominantly transparent to light or to communication signals beamed to e.g. aircraft, space vehichles, etc. Pref. the cover is of tempered glass approx. 0.2 mm thick metallised by application under conditions of high temp. and vacuum of an aerosol spray of e.g. cobalt nitride, tin oxide. The glass is adhesive bonded to surfaces having curvatures of =150 times the thickness of the glass.
