The vehicle sump oil recovery unit is mounted on a trolley with a steering handle, two front steering wheels and two fixed rear wheels that can be braked. A funnel receives the oil under gravity from the sump which passes down the hollow central column into a vat. The amount of oil held in the container is indicated by a vertical glass level tube, connected at both its ends to the interior of the container. When full, the vat can be emptied by screwing a hollow column onto a cone shape valved outlet at the bottom. Compressed air is pumped via a tube leading to the top of the interior of the vat so that oil is forced out of tube. This arrangement allows the vat to be emptied, without lifting or tilting it.
