Transferring label or image to textile - with marking material contg. polypropylene-lined carrier and thermoplastic adhesive layer

Transfer picture-type marking material for applying a label or image to a textile under heat and pressure, comprises a detachable carrier coated with at least one label- or image-forming colour or lacquer layer and a thermoplastic adhesive layer. Carrier is coated with a polypropylene layer at least on the side facing the colour- or lacquer layer. The adhesive layer consists of a mixt. of a polyurethane and an undissolved copolyamide-based thermoplastic melt adhesive introduced in powder form. The carrier can be peeled off directly after transferring the image, without cooling. Transfer times are short, e.g. 2 secs., and can be automated. Crosslinking during storage is prevented.
