The method consists in screening the windings of the high-voltage electroinduction power installation and generating an egualized electric field in its insulating gap with the help of electrodes the electric potentials of which are created as a result of composition of potentials induced in them with the magnetic flux of the installation. The device for realization of the method contains at least one winding (91) and electrodes located in the insulating gap (95) of the installation and intended for equalization of the electric field in that gap. The electrodes are placed coaxially to the winding (91) and are executed as a layer (93) of loops of a one-piece conductor winded in such a way that they embrace at least a part of the winding (91) and have the same winding direction.
