PURPOSE:To improve the ozone (O3) generation efficiency of a silent discharge ozonizer, by using an electrode comprising a stack of a plurality of discharge electrode plates prepared by pressing and integrating magnetized metal and an ozone- resistant insulating material. CONSTITUTION:A magnetized metal plate is used as the conductor 5 of the discharge electrode of a silent discharge ozonizer. The conductor 5 is integrated with an ozone-resistant insulating material by compression, and protruded ridge 4 is furnished to one side of the discharge electrode for the purpose of keeping the gap between the electrodes. A plurality of the electrodes are stacked together facing the N and the S poles of the magnetized plates each other. High AC voltage is applied to the high-voltage terminals 2 to cause silent discharge in the spaces 8 between the discharge elecdrodes. Air and oxygen passing through the discharge spaces 8 are ozonized in high efficiency and small discharge area, by the additive effect of the magnetic energy and the discharge energy.
