EQUIPMENT FOR PREVENTING DOUBLE BLANKING FOR PRECISION BLANKING PRESS

PURPOSE:To prevent double blanking of a press by stopping the press when both signals do not coincide, by installing switches which generate signals when the ram and knock-out reach the bottom dead point and upper dead point, respectively, and during the period until they reach both points. CONSTITUTION:When a ram 8 reaches the bottom dead point, a switch 1 is closed, and, when a knock-out 13 is at the upper dead point, another switch 2 is closed. Moreover, a switch 3 which is opened when the ram 8 does not reach the bottom dead point and another switch 4 which is opened when the knock-out 13 is below the upper dead point, are installed to the main body of the press. Therefore, when any one of the switches 1 and 3 is closed, the equipment is under a normal condition, and/or when blanks 12 are remaining, the switch 1 will not be opened even when the switch 3 is opened, and an abnormality stopping relay works. In the same way, when any one of switches 2 and 4 is opened, the equipment is under a normal condition, and/or when blanks 12 are remaining, the switch 2 is opened before the switch 4 is opened and the abnormality stopping relay works.
