PURPOSE:A polyethylene pipe highly resistant to chlorine-contg. water, which is prepd. by molding a specified polyethylene composition obtd. by blending a low- density polyethylene with a medium-or high-density polyehtylene. CONSTITUTION:95-70pts.wt. high-pressure polyehtylene of density 0.91-0.935g/ cm3, melt index =1g/mm. and ratio of weight-average MW to number-average MW of 3-10 is blended with 5-30pts.wt. medium/low-pressure polyethylene of density 0.93-0.965g/cm3 64 and melt index =30g/10mm., and the resulting composition is molded to obtain a polyethylene pipe.
