PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF WHITE PATTERNS OR PATTERNS OF VARIOUS COLORS ON COLORFUL BACKGROUND ON TEXTILE MATERIALS CONTAINING OR COSTITIATING HYDROPHOBE SYNTHETIC FIBERS AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BLUE DYES EXEMPT FROM HYDROSOLUBILIZING GROUPS
Azo dyestuffs free from groups imparting solubility in water are used in the process for the production of white or variously colored designs on a colored substrate on textile materials containing hydrophobic, synthetic fibers by impregnating the materials with dye liquors containing dyeing auxiliaries and padding auxiliaries as well as dyestuffs which are dischargeable to white, drying or incipiently drying the impregnated materials, printing the materials with an alkaline discharge reserve paste which contains a discharging agent, and subsequently subjecting the materials to a heat treatment at temperatures from 100 DEG to 230 DEG C., wherein said discharging agent is a base which produces a pH value of at least 8 in a 5% strength aqueous solution and the dyestuffs which are dischargeable to white are of the formula D-N=N-K-NHSO2R wherein D is 6-nitrobenzthiazol-2-yl, 5-nitrobenzisothiazol-3-yl, a substituted phenyl, a substituted thiazole or a substituted thiophene moiety; K is a coupling component of the 1,4-phenylene, 1,4-naphthylene, 2,5-thiazolyl or 2,5-thienyl series; and R is alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkenyl, substituted alkenyl, phenyl or substituted phenyl.
