1496863 Removing blow moulded articles from moulds COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE DE RAFFINAGE 24 Feb 1976 [28 Feb 1975] 07242/76 Heading B5A A hollow vessel 15, Fig. 6, with a concave base, which is blow moulded from an extruded thermoplastic parison between cooled mould halves 13, 14, which are separable transversely of the plane of their joint, is moulded with a lug 16 projecting from its base, at which the vessel is supported during opening separation of the mould halves by pincers 17, which then remove it from the mould, the pincers 17 being displaced in the direction of the mould joint during mould opening by at least the same amount as the article is displaced by the action of the mould opening on its concave base. The movement of the pincers avoids stressing of the base by the mould which would otherwise arise during opening from stationary pincers, as illustrated in Figs. 1-5 (not shown). The pincer displacement is effected by a cam surface 11 carried by one of the mould halves 13, acting on a roller follower 9 urged against the surface by a member 18 carrying the pincers. The member 18 is displaced by mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical means, which may introduce a reduction or adjustment between their movement and that of the pincers 17,
