Peptide ergot alkaloids, process for their preparation, drugs containing them and their use in therapy

The peptidic alcaloids of the ergot substituted on the amide bridge connecting the peptidic portion with the remainder of the lisergic acid derivative by a linear aliphatic carbo-hydrate residue are prepared by condensation of an acid addition salt of a corresponding N-substituted amino-cyclol with a corresponding reactant derivative of lysergic acid or by reduction of a peptidic alcaloid of the ergot unsaturated in position 9, 10, thereby obtaining saturated compounds in position 9, 10. The compounds thus obtained may be used as a medicament in cases of cerebral insufficiency.
