ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREProteins and non-protein affinity ligands are covalent-ly bonded to trichloro-s-triazine activated supports. The ac-tivated support is prepared by reacting a water-free insolublesolid support with trichloro-s-triazine in a non-aqueous mediumand neutralizing HCl generated during the reaction with a ter-tiary amine which does not form an insoluble complex with thetrichloro-s-triazine.
