Abstract of the DisclosureDual transition metal catalysts exhibitinghigh activity for the polymerization of .alpha.-olefinsare prepared by reacting a tetravalent hydrocarbyloxytitanium halide with chromium oxide and combiningthe resulting product, preferably in the presence ofan inert solid catalyst support, with an organo-metallic activating agent such as trialkyl aluminum.
