ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn improved binder is based upon an aluminum phosphate gelledcolloidal silica. The composition of the binder may vary within the followinglimits (calcined basis):-Colloidal Silica as SiO2 60 -- 85% by weightP2O5 5 -- 35% by weightAl2O3 5 -- 15% by weightCompared to known materials, this binder has improved strength and resis-tance to chemical attack.
