The invention relates to a double-walled plastic hose, in particular a shower hose, in which a helical reinforcement band serving as a spacer is arranged between the outer hose and the inner hose. This band is surrounded by a tubular sheath, which is firmly connected to both the inner tube and the outer tube. This hose is very wear-resistant and has a high elasticity, which is further increased by the fact that the reinforcement helix in the embodiment lies displaceably in the casing. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing the hose, in which the reinforcing helix is extrusion-coated with a preferred plastic before winding onto the inner hose to form the sheath.
