Substituted oxocarboxylic acids, process for their preparation, their use and medicines containing them

Substituted oxocarboxylic acids of the formula wherein R 'is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy group or a trifluoromethyl group, R ² represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom and n is an integer from 3 to 8., and their salts exert a hypoglycemic effect in warm-blooded animals. A process for preparing the novel compounds and the required intermediates for their preparation as well as the corresponding drugs are described.
