Device allowing a freely chosen marking of charts and other graphic representations

The device allows illuminated, pin-type elements to be mounted at freely selectable points on a map or other graphic illustration. For this purpose, the map (19) is spread on a sandwich-type base. The base comprises three layers (14, 16, 18) made of insulating, penetrable material, such as cork or rigid foam, between which layers two penetrable, electrically conducting layers (14, 17) are mounted. The two latter layers are connected to a source of electricity. If a pin-type element (3, 4, 5) is inserted into the map (19) at a random point and pressed in down to the head of said element, a light bulb or light diode mounted in said head will be illuminated. The pin-type part of the element contains a solid part and a hollow needle part which are electrically isolated from each other. The solid part makes contact with the layer (15) and the other part with the layer (17). IMAGE
