This invention relates to the electrolysis cells whose plates are lengthwise arranged in order to improve the current supply for the purpose of aluminium manufacturing by electrolysis of alumina. The cathode bars of the cell are devided into at least two groups with same number of bars. A method for compensating the induced magnetic fields of adjacent rows of electrolysis cells is considered. The current is fed so as to reduce the interference which is generated by the induced magnetic field.
