Thrust rod coupling for brake servo cylinder - has shaped spring clip to link thrust rod to servo valve

The clip has a central loop which clips oVer the shaped end of the thrust rod (15) with a loose fit. The side sections of the clip are bent away from the central section to straddle the thrust rod while the ends are shaped to fit into the air ducts inside the control valve. The clip ensures that the thrust rod and membrane and control valve are firmly linked together for manual control. The clip provides a low cost coupling to replace threaded fasteners and thrust washers. It enables the servo to be rapidly assembled without complex tools. The central section is either looped, or in the shape of spring ring.
