Transmitter identification system for HF receiver - displays stored transmitter data after automatic or manual tuning

The system uses electronic storage tables specifying the transmitter names, their identification programmes, their fixed locations, their frequencies, their powers and their location numbers corresponding to their geographical placements. At the end of automatic or manual turning the contents of the table at a point previously specified via a character input are compared for coincidence with the reception data, with the stored information fed to an alpha numeric display upon coincidence being obtained. Pref. a single keyboard input is used to enter the frequency of the required transmitter and the transmitter location number, or alternatively separate keyboards are used. The entered transmitter location number is displayed directly it is input for a given duration pref. in sequence with the transmitter data.
