Air-water heat pump defrosting system - delivers hot gas into evaporator while keeping compressor running

The process defrosts air-water heat pumps by means of hot gas. The latter is delivered into the evaporator (11) while the compressor is kept running, the evaporator and the condenser (14) being kept working. The heating circuit can be switched off, as can the evaporator fan, and the evaporator can have additional pipes (23) to those for the refrigerating medium and pref. parallel to them, these forming part of the fluid circuit (10a) in the refrigeration system between the condenser and the expander (15).
