Magnetic sludge (1) is placed in a tank with its bottom (3) positioned underneath the inclined wheel carrying discharge vanes (2). The bottom is connected to vertical side wall (4) which includes the discharge assembly (5) beneath which the side wall is elongated to accommodate the discharge assembly. The lower part is shaped to accommodate the curve of the inclined wheel housing bottom (3). The inclined wheel is positioned at an angle of about 35 deg. The drive of the wheel is effected via a shaft (8). On its upper part the bottom has a material evacuating device (9) from which the heavy material moves onto the dewatering sieve (10). The raw coal is fed into the plant via charge sieves (11) and a chute (12) terminating with guide sheets.
