Hydrotreating Technology for Middle Fraction (kerosene and gas oil) of coal liquid

Hydrotreating technology for middle distillate of coal liquefied oil was investigated asthe Technological Development of Petroleum Energy Center (PEC) by the support ofNew Energy and Technology Development Organization (NEDO).In this investigation, the technology to upgrade the liquefied coal oil into the samequality as that of petroleum products was studied. That enables the simultaneoustreating of kerosene and gas oil fraction, and can make good quality product to satisfyJapanese Industrial Standard (JIS) of cetane number by the straight hydrotreatingtechnology (without mixing with any petroleum product) using commercially producedcatalyst.
