Mine mineral extracting machine jet supported cutting disc - has nozzles on back of carrier bars in cutting edge area

The cutting disc is used on mineral extracting machines in underground mines. A cylindrical or truncated conical base unit has helical moving carrier bars distributed over its periphery with cutting edges across their radial height; there is a high-pressure nozzle for a supporting jet. The nozzles (7) are located on the back of the carrier bars (5) and in the vicinity of the cutting edges (6). They may be sited in a recess (8) in the cutting edges. This leaves min. interval from the mineral front being detached and keeps this constant during the cutting process.
