Modified stabiliser bar drawgear - has automatic tensioning given by pinned vertical stay, with pins sliding in inclined housings

A stabiliser bar system is used for vehicle draw gear. The free end of the stabiliser rods is fixed to a stay (3) pinned to one part of the drawgear (1). The other end is fixed to the tractor support. The locking of the head of the stay is given by a hinged part, pressed against the head when the support is under tension. There is a hook (4) near the top of a triangular piece (5) and a guide in a slot. A slot (9) houses a pin (10) which is also in an opening (11) in the triangular part. Automatic tensioning of the stabiliser is given.
