A flexible device comprising a flexible pipe allowing offshore drilling and measuring operations to be carried out in situ from e.g. a ship, comprises a base-plate for resting in a fixed position on the sea-bed, a rigid tubing the bottom of which is fitted with a drilling head and a flexible pipe supported from the ship. The base-plate has a hole for passage of the tubing and is fitted with means of holding it, controlled remotely. The tubing contains fixings for different tools or instruments and is fitted at its upper part with guides facilitating the introduction of these tools and instruments into the tubing. The flexible pipe supported from the ship has a motor fixed at its end capable of being fed with energy through this flexible pipe. The lower part of the rotor of the motor includes means of connection integrating the upper part of the casing and the rotor in rotation and in traction. The device allows a number of operations of drilling, coring and measurement to be carried out, with putting a tubing into place. It utilises components which can be of known types necessitating only a slight adaption for them to be integrated into the device.
