Copying machine using optical fibres - uses row of ends of fibre having different length at image side from original side to permit change scale
Copying machine using optical fibres - uses row of ends of fibre having different length at image side from original side to permit change scale
The optical fibres (1) are juxtaposed in such a way that their extremities (5,6) form one or more rows at each end (3,7) of the bundle of fibres. The length of the row at one end (3) can be different from the length at the other end (7) so that the image (4) can be reproduced at a different scale to the original (2). The change of length between both rows can be obtained by a change of space between the ends of the fibres or by a change of diameter between both extremities of the fibres. The array of fibres forming the scanner is integrated into a support comprising a flexible band.
