Refrigerating blanket for human corpses - uses Peltier-effect thermocouples fitted in cellular synthetic layer between two metallic sheets

The blanket has a layer (1) in a cellular synthetic material with apertures containing Peltier effect thermocouples (2). One heat conductive sheet (3) is connected to the hot junctions (2a) of the thermocouples (2), and another heat conductive sheet (4) is connected to the cold junctions (2b) of the thermocouples (2). A metal wool layer (5) used as a thermal path between the hot conductive sheet (3) and an outer metallic grid (6) which is itself covered by a protective fabric (7). The layer (1) containing the thermocouples (2) has corrugations on its hot surface so that the hot sheet (3) is increased and channels (10) are formed which evacuate the heat. The hot air is evacuated through a chamber and a hose connected to an electrical pump. The blanket is used for preserving corpses.
