METHOD OF DISCHARGING DUST FROM WIND BOX IN CONTINUOUS SINTERING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To perform the stable operation of igniting a raw material in an igniting oven, by providing a pipe communicated to the atmosphere at a wind box just below the igniting oven in Dwight-Lloyd sintering machine and controlling negative pressure in the wind box during discharging dust from the wind box. CONSTITUTION:In Dwight-Lloyd sintering machine, pipes 11(1), 11(2) communicated to the atmosphere and provided with pressure-regulating valves 12(1), 12(2) are attached to wind boxes 4(1), 4(2) just below an igniting oven 2 for a raw material 7a. When dust accumulated in the wind legs 4'(1), 4'(2) of the wind boxes 4(1), 4(2) is discharged, the dampers 13(1), 13(2) of the two wind boxes are opened so that the interiors of the wind boxes 4(1), 4(2) come to negative pressure resulting in inferior ignition with burners 3 in the igniting oven 2 just above them. In this regard, the negative pressure in the igniting oven is adjusted by adjusting the pressure-regulation valves 12(1), 12(2) of the communicated pipes 11(1), 11(2), to perform the stable ignition of the raw material 7a with the burners 3.
