PURPOSE:To detect the load without loss in lifting length, by providing a load detecting substrate provided with strain gages which detect a shearing force and are connected to a wheatstone bridge between the bearing of a lifting drum and a bearing sttaching surface. CONSTITUTION:A load detector 12, which has upper and lower surfaces of parallel horizontal planes, is provided between the bearing 11 at one end of the lifting drum 3 and a stand 10 Eight strain gages 21-28, which measure the shearing force corresponding to the lifting load acted on the detector 12, are provided in holes 20 and 20' in stress detecting parts 19 and 19' of the detector 12. The load detection can be performed without loss in the lifting length through the Wheatotone bridge circuit formed by the combination of the kinematic pairs of the gages 21-28.
