DIAPHRAGM TYPE OXYGEN CONCENTRATION MEASURING METHOD AND DIAPHRAGM TYPE OXYGEN ELECTRODE

PURPOSE:To make the replacement of an oxygen electrode easier by such an arrangement wherein a part of a tank to be inspected is composed of a sheet of oxygen transmission membrane and a diaphragm type oxygen electrode is installed in close proximity to the oxygen transission membrane. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen transmission membrane 3 is fixed to an electrode holder 10 by means of an O-ring 2, and the holder is slid and fixed to the nozzle 1 of a flask, which is a tank to be inspected, by means of another O-ring 4. If a flange 6 is screwed into outer threads 5 provided on the holder, it can be used as a guide for inserting the electrode holder. Under this condition, the flask is steam sterilized, and after that, a diaphragm type oxygen electrode is inserted into the holder, and the diaphragm of the electrode is caused to closely contact with the oxygen transmission membrane by screwing a cap nut 8 into the outer thread 5. By such a composition as stated above, there will be less possibility that the electrode may be damaged and it becomes possible to replace the electrode easily.
