PURPOSE:To always supply steam of a fixed pressure to the sample section of a thermobalance by communicating a vessel with a heating means and a steam take off port to a liquid supply vessel having an overflow means. CONSTITUTION:An overflow tank 16 is connected to a water supply source through an introduction port 18 and provided with an overflow pipe 17 in such a manner as to be slidable vertically through an O ring 19 thereby making it free to fix at any desired position. The tank 16 is communicated to a steam generation tank 21 with a communication tube 20. Water in the steam generation tank 21 is heated with a thrown-in heater 22 with a needle valve 26 closed to generate steam. A pressure P of a steam layer is specified by a head H between the tip of the communication tube 20 and the water surface of the tank 16 to always maintain a constant level. Under such a condition, the needle valve 20 is opened to allow a steam of a fixed pressure to flow into a thermostatic oven 25 from a steam take-off port 23 where it is mixed with argon gas and fed to a thermobalance apparatus.
