BETA-BRASS TYPE ELECTRONIC COMPOUND ALLOY HAVING REPETITIVE SHAPE MEMORY PROPERTY

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a beta-brass type electronic compound alloy having superior repetitive shape memory properties by blending Cu with Al and Zn in a specified composition range. CONSTITUTION:This alloy is a repetitive shape memory ternary alloy obtd. by blending Cu with Al and Zn in the oblique line range of the figure bounded by 4 points (43% Cu, 0% Al, 57% Zn), (64% Cu, 0% Al, 36% Zn), (90.05% Cu, 9.5% Al, 0% Zn), (85% Cu, 15% Al, 0% Zn). The alloy withstands repeated use and restores correctly the original shape before deformation. By incorporating the alloy into a differential transformer, a capacitor, a magnetic sensor, an optical lever or the like, temp. and pressure can be detected.
