The process comprises glueing the side elements of the stick to the sloping surfaces of the end of the handle, and impregnation of the central zone with vulcanised fibre, for 20 mins. furnace treatment at 60 deg.C. This is followed by cooling over 48 hrs. and final coating of the curved part with vulcanised fibre film. - The side elements are produced by locating a flued assembly of wooden strips, for bending in a mould and furnace treatment for 20 mins. at 60-70 deg.C, with air drying over at least 48 hrs.
