Process for the continuous, single-sided surface treatment of a film web (S) by means of electric corona discharge, in which the film web (S) moved in the direction of its longitudinal axis is passed between at least one grounded electrode (14) and a moving, polarized surface (W), whereby the surface of the film web (S), which is not to be treated, rests on the moving surface, characterized in that by evacuation an air-free contact is produced between the film web (S) and the moving polarized surface (W).
