摘要
The resilient dog coupling between two shafts uses tro flanged bosses keyed to the respective shafts, each with a ring of projecting fingers (3,4) projecting from its flange. The two sets of fingers interlock and have sloping sides with resilient buffer blocks (5) between them, to absorb shock and vibrations. Each finger has a plate (8) secured to its outside face by screws inserted into tapped holes. It also has a further plate (6) attached to each sloping side, with the buffer blocks attached. - These further plates have sloping edges (9) forming mitre joints with the bottoms of the fingers at one end, and with the sloping edges of the outside plates at the other endy In another design, these further plates are secured by studs and nuts. The studs pass through the fingers to their hollow interiors so that the nuts can be fitted. PS(2/5)
