The integrated lens unit is for the receiver in an optical or infrared time division multiplexed (TDM) multichannel transmission system. The lens covers the detector integrated circuit (IC) of the receiver and typical use is for a receiver hung around a person's neck a receiving an optical transmitted signal. The lens (KE,KU) is a dome unit (KU) with a reception angle of 120 deg. mounted on a truncated cone (KE) with an 80 deg. reception angle. At the junction of the two is a high frequency interference suppression ring (R). The lens is made of organic glass and has a refractive index of 1.5. The incoming optical or infra-red pulse signal (IR-Licht) is focussed on the photodiode detector(S) chip. The interference screening ring(R) is 1mm wide tin mounted on a conductor (E).
