The method involves the use of a trough-shaped container (20) open on one side with its opening downwards and seated on a shaped bar (10) with at least one raised part (19,48). The interior of the container is filled with an optically transparent, fluid reaction mass (27) distributed on the inside of the surface of the bar within the container. The reaction mass is heated to produce a reaction and at least partially fixed. The integrated optical cover part consisting of the reaction mass and container is removed from the bar, whereby the raised part leaves behind at least one recess.
