Method for transporting and erecting a prefabricated reinforced concrete garage by means of a vehicle which has a driver's cabin, behind this a loading surface and a loading device which projects upwards between the driver's cabin and the loading surface, the loading device being provided with a jib part which during the erection of the garage engages with a holding device on the garage. When the vehicle is travelling on the road with a garage loaded on it, the jib part of the loading device is swivelled forwards over the driver's cabin about an essentially vertical axis and lowered and is raised in order to erect the garage and swivel backwards over the garage about the essentially vertical axis.
