The invention provides auxiliaries for dyeing with disperse dyes. The auxiliaries contain one or more compounds of the series of the alkoxylated and partially sulphated, carboxylated or phosphated novolacs, which have a positive effect on the dispersion stability of the dyes and an emulsifying effect on all further auxiliaries present in the dyeing liquor which are insoluble or only sparingly soluble.
