Tilt and turn window extension mechanism - has swinging arm arrester moved for prompt gripping by arresting slide

The tilt and turn window has an arm which slides and turns on the wing frame, in the extending device. It is laterally hinged to the fixed blind frame in a mounting which can be stopped in two positions 180 deg. apart. The arm can be turned to enable the stop side to be changed, and has an arrester working with a slide on the wing frame to fix the arm parallel to the frame shank. The arresting member(32) is displaced on the extension arm(20) between right and left stop positions, so that it can be gripped by the arrester slide(34) in every position at an early stage when the wing frame(12) is closed. The system can be operated from both left and right with early combined action between arm and wing frame.
