The grass-ski (1) has a base frame of inverted 'U' section and the longitudinal profile of a snow ski. The bindings (15) for fastening the ski to the foot of the user are mounted on the top. Rollers (2-14) on transverse axles (16) are mounted between flanges (19,20). The rollers project beyond the ends of the flanges, those (2-6) in the leading length having a convex rolling surface and those trailing (7-14) having a cylindrical rolling surface. The leading vertical tangent of the foremost roller (2) may lead the front end of the frame.
