PURPOSE:To relieve the impact which acts to a lever when a regulating valve is rapidly closed, by providing a tension spring between the coupled portions of the lever and hydraulic cylinder of a regulating valve control mechanism for a steam turbine. CONSTITUTION:The hydraulic cylinder 2 of a mechanism for controlling the opening and closing of a steam valve 7 for a steam turbine is connected to a pilot valve 5, a servomotor 6, etc. by levers. A tension spring 16 is provided between the coupled portions of the hydraulic cylinder 2 and the lever 3a. As a result, the impact which acts to the levers 3a, 3b and their couplings at the rapid closing of the steam valve 7 is relieved so that the levers and the couplings are protected from damage.
