PURPOSE:To realize cheap installation cost and at the same time facilitate running operation and maintenance and yet larger installation space can be spared by a structure wherein a burner for burning primary fuel is provided on the front wall of a flue tube combustion chamber, on the back wall of which a desulfurizing agent pouring nozzle is piercingly provided and yet on the side wall of which a secondary fuel pouring nozzle is also piercingly provided. CONSTITUTION:Secondary fuel is blown upon the central portion (high temperature portion) of high temperature combustion gas 4 in a fuel tube 2 by being supplied through a secondary fuel supplying route 10 to a secondary fuel pouring nozzle 8. Next, desulfurizing agent is blown against the high temperature combustion gas 4 in the flue tube 2 by being supplied through a desulfurizing agent supplying route 18 together with combustion air supplied through an air supplying route 19 to a defulsufurizing agent pouring nozzle 7. As a result, the high temperature combustion gas 4 mixes thoroughly with the desulfurizing agent, resulting in absorbing SOx in the gas by neutralization. In addition, simultaneously unburnt gas is completely burnt with the blown air.
