PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the compliance difference of a pressure receiving element, by constituting such a mechanism that atmospheric air is sealed in a liquid communicating path prior to sealing a sealing liquid and constant pressure is acted on both pressure receiving elements to make it possible to measure differential pressure of the demarcated liquid communicating path. CONSTITUTION:Atmospheric air is sealed in a liquid communicating path 1 demarcated into a high pressure HP side and the low pressure LP side by a bellows 5 prior to sealing a sealing liquid therein. In the next step, the static pressure of a pressure source P5 is supplied to the connecting ports 13, 13 of covers 12a, 12b attached to a body 2 in a freely detachable manner and the differential pressure of the high pressure side and the low pressure side of the liquid communicating path 1 is measured by a differential pressure sensor 15. By this measurement of differential pressure, the rigidity difference of diaphragms 4a, 4b resulting in the differential pressure and the volume difference of the high and low pressure sides of the liquid communicating path, that is, compliance difference can be measured in terms of a volume (v). When the differential pressure is positive, the volume of the HP side of the liquid communicating path 1 is reduced in amount of (v) while, when negative, the volume of the LP side is increased in an amount (v).
