DIE HEIGHT ADJUSTING DEVICE IN DIE CASTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To enable one person to adjust the extent of the movement of a link housing, i.e., die height, with high adjusting accuracy by controlling numerically the die height with a digital scale. CONSTITUTION:The actual value of a die height l, in other word, the current position of a link housing, is digitally displayed on a display part 11 of an operation panel through a decoder 10 by a position sensor 8 reading the magnetic scale of a digital scale 6 and is inputted to a comparator 12. When a set value 13a or 13b is digitally set from the other input circuit 13, the value 13a or 13b is outputted to a comparator 12. When a motor for adjusting the die height is started by changing over the device to automatic operation, the comparator 12 compares the current position of the housing 7 and the set value, and gives a command to a motor control circuit 14 which moves the housing 7 to a prescribed extent. The motor for adjusting the die height is stopped when the actual value coincides with the set value.
