PURPOSE:To improve durability of a coal slurry transport apparatus by utilizing high-pressure gas generated in a high-pressure line of a coal liquefying process to transport coal slurry by increasing pressure so as to lessen abrasion portions caused by particles. CONSTITUTION:A coal slurry transport apparatus is applied to a coal liquefying plant, wherein an air supply valve 16 and an exhaust valve 17 mounted on one end of a pressure receptacle 15 are respectively connected to a high-pressure gas line 11 and a low-pressure gas line 13 though lines 22, 23. A liquid discharge valve 18 and a liquid supply valve 19 disposed on the other end side of the pressure receptacle are respectively connected to a line 8 and a tank 1 through lines 24, 25. The line 24 is provided with a centrifugal pump 20 for compensation to increase presure for pressure loss to pressure-feed coal slurry to a coal slurry supply line. The line 25 is provided with a coal slurry pressure pump 21 to feed coal slurry from the tank 1 into the pressure receptacle 1 and to discharge low- pressure gas in the receptacle.
