SIDE SUPPORT STRUCTURE OF G-SENSING AUTOMATIC LOCK FOR SEAT CUSHION

PURPOSE:To prevent a captioned structure from being an obstacle for passengers to get on and off by providing side supports to sense the inertia at cornering for locking only when the inertia is generated. CONSTITUTION:Side supports 3R and 3L are fixed on a seat cushion 1 via a brackets 7 and 8. A frame shaft 5 of the side support is supported by brackets 7 and 8, and one end of a torsion bar 6 is fixed on it. On a penetrated projection part of the frame shaft 5, a disk 10 with engaging teeth 9 are fixed, and inside the disk 10, a pendulum 12 fixed on the bracket 7 to be oscillated with an internal tooth pawl 11 to be engaged with the engaging teeth 9 of the disk 10 is pivoted. Usually, the engaging teeth 9 is kept disengaged with the internal tooth pawl 11 by a spring 13, and engaged only when the inertia is given.
