TRIMMER GAP SETTING JIG FOR DEVELOPING DEVICE OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC COPYING MACHINE OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To set mechanically and easily a trimmer gap by using a trimmer gap setting jig which has plate thickness corresponding to a specific gap and is curved to the radius of curvature equal or approximate to that of a magnetic roll. CONSTITUTION:The trimmer gap setting jig 9 is formed by curving a one end 9a of a flat steel plate which has plate thickness DELTA1 equal to or slightly smaller than a gap DELTA0 to be set between the circumferential surface of the magnetic roll 1 and a trimmer 2 to a radius gamma1 of curvature equal to or slightly greater than the radius gamma0 or curvature of the magnetic roll 1, and sticking a magnetic plate 10 curved in the same shape around the external surface of the jig 9. The internal surface of the curved part 9a is brought into contact with the circumferential surface of the magnetic roll 1 and the tip of the trimmer 2 is pressed against the curved part 9a while both are held in contact by the magnetic force of a magnetic plate 10; and the trimmer 2 is fixed to a housing 4 with a bolt 8 and then the magnetic roll 1 is rotated as shown by an arrow, so that the jig 9 comes out of the gap between the magnetic roll 1 and trimmer 2.
