The energy conversion device derives energy from stored or moving water, converting the energy into rotational motion which can be used to generate an electric current. The energy converter uses two cylinders (1,2) each containing a sliding piston which is sealed where it slides on the cylinder walls. - The two cylinders are mounted diametrically opposite each other on a centrally pivoted frame and are connected through valves so that the water is supplied to the higher of the two cylinders, causing displacement of the piston which transfers water to the opposite cylinder. An oscillatory motion of the support frame results, and is converted to rotary motion by a ratchet and pawl mechanism.(0/2)
