CYLINDTICAL ROTARY CONTROLLERFOR A SOLAR HEAT SYSTEMABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA modular solar heat controller contains fourchambers through which heated air is deflected to an area ofneed, such as a house or building. One of the chamberscontains a conventional air blower while the remaining threechambers are connected by ductwork to the building as wellas a solar heat collector and solar storage unit respectively. Each of the four chambers, which are arranged in quadrants,is open to the next adjacent two chambers, making a total ofthree passageways through each chamber, except the chambercontaining the blower, which does not connect to the outsideand therefore has only two passageways. Two of the threepassageway type chambers have control cylinders adapted toselectively close one of two predetermined passagewayswithin the chamber permitting flow through the chamber bythe other two passageways. In this manner the controlleracts in three separate modes. In the first mode it canfunnel air from the collector through the blower to thebuilding. In the second mode heated air is transported fromthe collector through the blower past a heat exchanger tostorage for later use. And in the third mode heat fromstorage is channeled through the blower to the area to beheated.-1-
